BANDUNG (01/12/2021) – Domestically made train signaling technology won the 2021 Industrial Technology Pilot Award (Rintek) for successfully implementing Autonomous Train Control (autonomous or driverless train control) to support sustainable railways in Indonesia.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita presented the award to the Director of Business and Cooperation of PT Len Industri (Persero), Wahyu Sofiadi, at the 2021 Rintek Award Ceremony in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
The work is called SiLMove 4000, a signaling system product made by Len engineers that has been embedded in the APMS Kalayang/Skytrain Soekarno Hatta Airport (Basoeta).
The Rintek Award was held by the Indonesian Ministry of Industry to spur the country's industrial sector to consistently innovate to increase competitiveness both at home and abroad.
Kalayang Basoeta became the first full driverless train mode in Indonesia in 2020. The Skytrain first operated manually in September 2017.
Skytrain is used to serve passenger mobilization of approximately 15,000-20,000 people per day at four (4) terminals of Soekarno Hatta International Airport operated by PT Len Rekaprima Semesta (a subsidiary of Len).
Wahyu Sofiadi said, "SiLMove 4000 is based on CBTC Moving Block technology standards and is composed of components with Safety Integrity Level 4 (SIL 4) which is the highest level of system safety,"
This award certainly adds to Len's enthusiasm to continue to innovate to build the country.***
