Increasingly Sophisticated, Maintenance of Railway Facilities Use the Maximo Application

"The implementation of RCM has been proven to improve the security and reliability of railroad physical assets. Maximo is used at PT. LRTJ and PT. MRTJ, "said the Head of Maska Ir. Hermanto Dwiatmoko in a discussion about the safety of Railroad Transportation at NTSC Jakarta, Thursday (6/9/2018).

 

According to him, maximo is an application software issued by IBM. This maximo function is to regulate and maintain an asset so that it can work and function as it should.

 

"And certainly, optimize the performance of these assets," said Hermanto who is also a former Director General of the Ministry of Transportation.

 

It is said, this maximo is not only limited to one aspect, but functions as a whole.

 

"From planning, maintenance, purchasing to handling financial problems," Hermanto explained.

 

According to Maska, the use of maximo provides several benefits. "Increasing Return on Investment assets, Reducing costs and risks, increasing productivity and efficiency," Hermanto explained.
