Blok M Becomes the Favorite Area for "Culinary" by MRT

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The train named Ratangga which operates from Bundaran HI Station to Lebak Bulus is indeed through Blok M. Station

 

Kompas.com monitored on Friday (5/4/2019) afternoon, Blok M MRT Station was quite crowded by employees who wanted to fill their stomachs while looking for fresh air. Some of them came with colleagues and still covered their company IDs and carried food packages.

 

The Blok M Station security officer who declined to be named said, Blok M Station tends to be crowded at lunch time. "People go to Blok M Square, if you don't go to the Plaza," he said. The location of Blok M MRT Station is indeed close to Blok M Square. The station was even connected directly to the Blok M. Plaza MRT Passenger, Guido (42), claiming to almost always visit Blok M on Friday. From his office in the Senayan area, Guido used to go to Blok M to board Transjakarta before there was an MRT.

 

"Now using MRT. Much faster, the food can be relaxed, it can add up too," he said. According to him, it only takes 10 minutes to reach Blok M with the MRT from Senayan. Guido said he had just returned from Blok M Square to fill his stomach while shopping. "There, there are quite a lot, yes, culinary. Shopping is also cheaper. Now it can be fast because of the MRT," he said.

 

Yedi (30), expressed the same thing. With the MRT, he can be more relaxed in spending lunch hours at Blok M. This activity is increasingly being done lately. "I used to rarely go to Blok M Plaza because my office was in Thamrin," Yedi said. "If you are right now, you just have to cross to the nearby HI Roundabout. Even though your lunch break is not long, you will need to go back to the office," he said.

 

For Yedi, Blok M is an area with many culinary and shopping locations. Kompas.com monitored, at lunchtime, Senayan and Blok M stations became two points that were crowded by office employees and other people who were looking for food.
